"It is the story of an abandoned country boy who loses his mind in the search for his mother. This book should be a movie."

An Important Contribution to the Story of Jamaica "I was captivated and learned so much about the Rastafarian religion — its origins, its history, and its cultural roots. The author demonstrates deep knowledge of Jamaican culture and Creole language. I enjoyed this book so much that I finished it in just two days.

"A Richly Detailed Story." This is a meticulously researched journey through a bygone era in Jamaica. Like people everywhere, the characters in Asleep in Coronation Market strive for a better life. We may not always agree with their choices, but we root for them through every hardship and ultimately share in their triumph as they find their place in the sun.
